Customer Reviews:
Problem with Lanard foam shooter (mini tube shooter) November 3, 2008 We were looking for replacement rockets for the bigger model. Could not find any so we got this one. This one has a design flaw, the handle that is attached to the tube that goes inside the bigger tube is not small either. With the tube attached it gets stuck inside the bigger tube. When this happens you have a lot of trouble getting it a part. The handle pulled out of the smaller tube and you crack (break) the small tube trying to get it out. Here is what I did to fix the shooter. With the handle already off I took a pair of pliers and WD-40 and tried to pull the tube out. This was not ease I crack the end of the tube. After I got it out I GLUED the handle on to the tube (the cracked end). It still got stuck when it was slammed into the bigger tube. So I took some narrow duct tape and wrapped it around the small tube next to the handle. Now it works great and do those rocket ever fly.
Good Price - Poor Materials July 20, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the price it was a great deal, but one you get the product you notice several issues and design flaws.
1) The tubes are cardboard, so they are less than durable. 2) The sleeve that joins the top plastic section to the compression tube is made of too thin of material so when you slide them together they stress (plastic goes white) and after minimal play they split. 3) The above issue leads to this one, the tubes will not stay together. (I used epoxy on the join and they stayed)
