This is a v4 tamagotchi, they now have 4.5 and maybe 5's are out already, I'm not sure. Of course, the later model is the most popular with the kids, but I got these for a screaming 5 bucks and my kids love it. They also hook up to other v4 and you can play games.

This is the worst toy that I ever bought. I took very good care of all of my pets, but they all died in about 3 days. The games that you play aren't very fun. All that you do is press a button over and over again. It said something in the instructions about using it on the computer. I cannot figure out how to do that. A Tamagotchi, however, is very durable. I have dropped it a lot and it still works. Buying this was a big waste of $15.00. I do not recommend this product to anybody. I hated the Tamagotchi, and I will never buy another one again.

My nieces and nephews received this from Santa. They adore these things. They entertain the kids anywhere. The kids take their responsibilities this toy gives them very seriously, and even have grieved at game over.

This thing is awesome. It keeps my kids entertained and I think, it sort of teach them about responsibility! I am surprised at how much variations this little thing provides in term of activities. This is why my kids are still very much into this thing. It was a little intimidating to start with, the instruction paper has a lot to digest, but once you try it, it's pretty easy to figure out. Another good thing is this little thing is pretty durable! My kids are not very gentle with their stuff. Only one month into this, it already has scratches, but it plays just fine.
